On 14th of July Zemnieku Saeima organized a workshop-discussion for farmers and experts on “Agricultural Development Opportunities and Challenges – Co-existence of environmental and economic aspects”. During the event it was possible to get to know the challenges of production in the various sectors of farms; the environmental and economic challenges in the coming years were also discussed.
During the outing, we visited farms “Saules”, “Adzelvieši”, “Ceriņi” and “Kunturi”, where participants were presented with the use of innovative technologies in the beekeeping sector, the hemp sector, the future Common Agricultural Policy, dairy production and interaction between the multisectoral farm sectors.
